Compagnie Générale Maritime’s CGM Rostand was a French cargo vessel active during the 1980s. Built in 1976, she was a large roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) cargo ship designed to transport wheeled vehicles, general freight and some containers. Measuring roughly 207 metres long and about 11,700 gross tonnes, she served international routes carrying commercial cargo during the era when French liner shipping was transitioning from traditional cargo vessels to modern containerised transport. In 1988 she was renamed Pad Australia and later operated under other names before being scrapped in 2003.
